Australian Researcher Boosts ADSL Speeds

Like your ADSL connection to go 100 times faster? Despite the grim state of Australian mathematics and science, there is still exciting original work being done Down Under. John Papandriopoulos, a Research Fellow with the ARC Special Research Centre for Ultra-Broadband Information Networks (CUBIN) has developed a method to reduce crosstalk interference in ADSL technologies to bring speeds up the theoretical maxima possible. With an Australian Federal election due in a few weeks, and both parties promising improved broadband speeds and access, this is a welcome development, hopefully enabling higher speeds without huge expenses.

آخه چه این وضعی است که درست کردید؟ داد و بیداد میکنید سر سرباز هخامنشی اینطور شد اونطور شد! بعد اصلا به زبان مادری خودمان توجه ندارید، یک موقعی سوپر ساندویچی‌ها برای تبلیغ از غلط‌های املایی استفاده میکردند که گویا با این افراد برخورد شده چون دیگر از این آبرو ریزیها در شهر دیده نمیشود.

حالا از دوستانی که از روی دانایی دست به این کار میزنند میخواهم دست بردارند. و از افرادی که از نادانی این طور می‌نویسند تقاضا دارم دروس دبستان را یک بار دیگر مطالعه نمایند تا از این دست آبرو ریزیها نداشته باشیم.

Nanotech To Replace Disk Drives Within Ten Years?

An Arizona State University researcher named Michael Kozicki claims that nanotechnology will replace disk drives in ten years. The article mentions three approaches: Nanowires (which replace electrons/capacitors), multiple memory layers on silicon (instead of a single layer), and a method that stores multiple pieces of information in the same space: 'Traditionally, each cell holds one bit of information. However, instead of storing simply a 0 or a 1, that cell could hold a 00 or a 01. Kozicki said the ability to double capacity that way — without increasing the number of cells — has already been proven. Now researchers are working to see how many pieces of data can be held by a single cell.'
